Home Remedy for Pimples
Pimples create great havoc in the lives of teenagers, adolescents and even adults. These temporary outgrowths of the skin, scares the young adults to see them come on their face. They are the pus-filled raised bumps that come up on your face. The common sites of these pimples are our face, chest, neck, back and even sometimes on the shoulders.
Some times pimples are also referred as acne. Blackheads and whiteheads often are the factors that lead to pimples. The most common myth is that pimples are caused due to dirt, sweat or consumption oily or fatty foods. This is not completely true. But the well known concept stays true that the pimples should not be squeezed, this could lead to inflammation or scarring.
There are many medicines and creams for curing pimples, yet most people prefer using natural remedies, as they are a lot cheaper, safer and more effective. The pimples come out mainly due to the bacterial infection in the oil glands over activity in our skin. The reason for over activity could be hormonal changes like at puberty.
Menstrual cycle in women also changes the hormone balance in the body, which can result in pimples. Pimples or acne as some call them; can also be caused due to hereditary factors.
You should keep in mind that the medicines that contain lithium, iodides, bromides and steroids are known to worsen the pimple growth. The pimple cannot be washed away by water, repeated washing or scrubbing the pimple affected area can make the oil gland produce more oil as washing makes the skin dry. Some think that stress could also be the reason for these pimple breakouts, but this is not proved.
As described above, pimples are the pus filled bumps on our skin, identified by yellow or red colored inflammations. If a pimple is squeezed the pus spreads around and infects the areas around the pimple thus creating more infected areas. Squeezing the pus could also leave scars on the pimple-affected area even after the healing. Medically these pimples are also called as pustules.
