Home Remedies for Corns

- Castor oil is very effective to soften this thick, coarse skin. Apply a drop of castor oil onto the corn with your finger. Do this for 3 time s a day; in the morning, after returning from work and before going to bed. You can observe slow but steady improvements after some weeks. - Licorice is very useful in corns. Grind 3 to 4 licorice sticks. Add ½ teaspoon of mustard or sesame oil to it. Dab the mixture on the hardened dead portion of a skin or on a corn. Do this before going to bed. This is one of the useful home remedies for corns.

- To remove corns the herb Indian squill is very useful. Roast a bulb and apply over the corn. Cover this with a bandage. Do this application at night and remove in the morning. This is also one of the positive home remedies for corns.
- Place a slice of onion on the corn affected area and cover it with a bandage so that they stay at place. Leave them overnight and remove the next morning. This is a very effective natural remedy for corns.
- Soak a few ivy leaves in a bowl of vinegar overnight. Next morning remove the leaves and immerse a piece of bread in the same water. Apply this bread onto the corn and let it stay throughout the day. Replace with a fresh piece for the night.
- Immerse a fresh cloth in rectified turpentine and cover the corn affected area. Do this several times a day. This will reduce corn.
- Dip a cotton ball in vinegar. Apply it on corn until the area becomes soft. Rub the area with a pumice stone.
- Apply fresh pineapple peel on the corns. Tie the area with a bandage and leave it over night. Use this corn remedy regularly to get rid of corns.
- Boil some oatmeal in water for 5 minutes. Filter the water in a bucket and put the corn affected foot into it. It would heal the corn and provide relief.
- Extract juice from the stem of a dandelion. Apply the juice on the corns to get quick relief.
- In brewers yeast add a few drops of lemon juice to form a paste. Apply the paste on corn and leave it overnight. This is a good home remedy for corns.

Diet should consist of vitamins and minerals. It should be light and nutritious and include fruits and vegetables.

- Stop wearing the shoe that caused it. This is a proper treatment for corn. In most cases corn disappears when the pressure is removed.
