  • Warm Compress: Warm compress is a useful remedy for so many problems. For dog's ear infection, it is a remedy which is surely going to help you minimize the problem. Prepare a warm compress by dumping a napkin in warm water and apply this to your dog's ear. This will not only get your dog rid of pain, will also help in reducing irritation, inflammation and redness of the ear.

  • Cod Liver Oil: One more effective remedy is made with cod liver oil. This remedy acts well in treating middle or inner ear infection. Just put a drop of cod liver in the dog's ear. You can use Vitamin E oil, if not cod liver oil. Capsules and gels of vitamin E are available in market that can be purchased from any druggist. This will clear the infection inside and will reduce the pain.

  • Solution for Ear Cleanup: Cleaning your dog's ear is very necessary in order to treat ear infection. Use an ear cleaning solution to clean the inner side of the ear. This process will kill the bacteria developing inside and will clean up the foreign particles. There are different cleaning solutions available in market to be used. You will easily find these solutions on any chemist store but here we are sharing home remedies so I must tell you a homemade recipe to prepare ear cleaning solution.

  • Apple cider vinegar is suggested by vets to work like an efficient ear cleaning solution. Couple the apple cider vinegar with equal quantity of warm water and hydrogen. Fill this solution in the dog's ear at the base by rubbing gently. Leave the dog so that he will shake his head as an instant reaction and then clean up the outer side of the ear using a cotton ball. You should muzzle your dog before you put this solution in its ear. Dogs generally try to get their self free not being aware of what is happening.

  • Cut the hair inside the ear you can see. Use a sharp scissor for this and tie the dog tightly so that he cannot shake for that time. This will help get rid of the bacteria developing within the ear due to hair cluster.

  • Dog Ear Mites Infection: If your dog has mites, remedies are simple but you need to do it almost daily. Check your dog's ear for parasites if any. Remove the parasite with your hands wearing gloves. Prevent the dog from going out in dirty or scruff areas.

  • If you find insects have resided inside, take the dog to the vet immediately. A single mite inside can create a huge problem for your dog.

  • Mites are found on street dogs and catch your dog easily. Try to prevent your dogs from mixing up with street dogs.
