- Dust mites dwells on bed so you can use a steamer to kill all the dust mites and then slip over the bed a plastic cover. This is a simple home remedy for dust allergy.
- Toys are also a favorite place for dust mites. And some of the toys are not washable. The first thing you can do in such a case is dust them carefully and place them in a plastic bag and then put it into a freezer for atleast four hours. These mites can't tolerate cold and this will eventually kill them.
- Covers that are used for mattress and pillows should be designed to control dust mites. These are usually made of vinyl or tightly woven fabrics. This prevents the dust mites from colonizing.
- Another home remedy for dust allergy is washing all the bed lines once a week in hot water. This temperature can be atleast 130 Fahrenheit that can kill the dust mites.
- If you wash in cooler water than you can use borax to the wash to kill the dust mites.
- You can prepare an effective drink by adding castor oil to one cup of water and drink it on an empty stomach. This is one of the simple home remedy for dust allergy. You can also add castor oil to any fruit or vegetable juice.
- Garlic provides an instant relief from any kind of allergies. While preparing food you can add plenty of garlic. Take two to three cloves of garlic in butter and fry it. Eat it to feel better from the allergies.
- Ginger is another old home remedy for dust allergy or any kind of allergy. You can cut few pieces of ginger and add them to a glass of warm water. Add honey to taste and drink this mixture. Chewing of raw ginger pieces will also provide instant relief.
- An effective home remedy for dust allergy is a glass of lime juice which can be taken by adding one teaspoon of honey. This is a cure for dust allergy as well as any kind of allergy. You can drink this everyday and continue it for a month.
- Have vegetable and fruits rich in vitamin C and E helps in building the immune system. If you have a strong immune system there is less chances to get allergic.
