  • Petroleum jelly can work really well and help to keep the area itching free. A reason for the condition is when the area is generally dry so a way to keep them dry free is to use petroleum jelly. This moisturizes the area and protects the delicate lining from further irritation.
  • Another very good and effective way to soothe the anal itching is to use some witch hazel. For this you simply have to soak some cotton ball in the solution and apply this on the affected area. This will instantly give you a cool relief. To ease the itch simply use this every few hours and as often as you can.
  • Another and probably the easiest way to reduce the irritation is to go for a warm water bath. This will not only clean the area but increases the blood circulation to make you feel better. Do not add any essential oil or something of that sort as these can make the irritations all the more worse.
  • A very good remedy that you can try out is to go a soap nut decoction. You will need a handful of the soap nut. You have to remove the skin and the seeds and then boil this in glassful of water. Allow this to cool for some time. Mash the skins and filter it. Finally you get the decoction which is beneficial to get relief from the rectal or anal itching.
  • Another effective external application to relief the itching is to use orange peels. First you have to dry the peels and use some water to prepare a paste and then gently apply this around the area to reduce the itching.
  • Aloe Vera can be used when you feel your rectum is sore and bleeding. This is effective to reduce the inflammation that can be felt around the rectum.
  • If worms are the reasons that is causing such kind of irritations then try out having garlic as this is a known remedy to expel the worms and help you detoxify your body system.
  • You can also try out some effective remedy to reduce the irritations is by using castor oil and coconut oil.
  • Wheat germ oil is another suggested remedy that can help to reduce the anal irritation. This is a very good and natural source for vitamin A, B, D and E. This moisturizes the skin and prevents any natural loss of oil from the skin.

  • Keep the area dry free
