- Elevation helps to reduce swelling and thus helps to reduce the pain. However, it is much easier to elevate the ankle or the knee but impossible in case of hip. Nevertheless, it is found that reclining the feet can help to relieve the pain in the hips.
- Rest is one of the best and reliable treatments for hip pains and can fasten up the healing process. The reason is that during a hip injury the area around cannot undergo any pressure or stress. Therefore, rest is one of the best home remedies for hip pain.
Some of the tips that will ensure that you don't get hip pain again are:
- Exercise regularly
- Avoid junk, spicy food, processed food and also eliminate red meat as this may some factors that lead to hip pain.
- Avoid smoking and consumption of alcohol
- Care should be taken while sleeping. Avoid applying pressure by sitting or sleeping on the side where you face such kind of pain.
- You can also put a pillow in between your legs while sleeping to avoid hip pains.
Sometimes the pain can be chronic and the home remedies for hip pain may not be very effective. In such a situation it is always better to consult the doctor as this may be a sign or symptom of a bigger problem.
