  • Whenever you feel that your ankles have swollen plunge some cold water for some minutes. This will reduce any kind of swelling in the tissues. This will give you some instant relief.
  • Some herbs like alfalfa, aloe Vera juice and bilberry are all important to reduce the inflammation. Other herbs that you can try out are Echinacea, ginger, red clover and golden seal that are effective to reduce the inflammation.

Apart from the home remedies for inflammation, eat a diet which contains some percentage of raw food like salads and drink plenty of water and fluid diet. Cut down saturated food like fats and excess of salts, sugar, white flour items and junk foods.
