  • Thighbone that makes the top part of a joint.

  • Rapid grow in bones are prone to injury and cause knee pain

The symptoms along with the history in most cases help to diagnose the problem. Some of the common symptoms associated with knee pain are:

  • Pop and snap are common problems of knee pain. These do not have any problem unless they are associated with pain. It is usually heard when a ligament is torn.
  • Grinding and crunching is often associated with grinding of the bones. It is usually found in arthritis and seldom affects people below 50 years unless there is a serious injury in the knee.
  • Locking is the inability to bend or strengthen the knee or sometimes the pain prevents the patent to do so.
  • Instability is because the ligaments are torn or stretched.
  • Swelling is problem associated with many knee problems. It can occur immediately after an injury.

Location of the Knee Pain

  • Front of the knee pain. It is most commonly associated with the knee cap which can be caused by many different problems
  • Inside the knee. When there are meniscus tears, ligament injuries and arthritis of the joint.
  • Outside the knee. This may occur outside the knee because of lateral meniscus tears, IT band tendonitis and lateral collateral ligament injuries.
  • Pain at the back of the knee. This may be due to the formation of cysts that occur at the back of the knee joint.

  • One of the traditional home remedies for knee pain is using oil massages that can heal any kind of aches and pains.
  • Warm a little amount of coconut or olive oil slightly and massage on the affected area. And now massage on circular movements that will ease the inflammation and also improve the blood flow. This will ease the pain and also cure you from any kind of pain.
