Amenorrhea is the stoppage of the menstrual flow which is experienced by pregnant women or by women who are in their menopausal stage.
- Excessive menstrual flow
Menorrhagia is the excessive flow of heavy and prolonged menstrual period which occurs at regular intervals. Fibroids and abnormal clotting of blood may cause this condition.
Home Remedies for Menstrual problems using sesame seeds
- Sesame seeds are effective for the treatment of menstrual problems. In a cup of hot water add a half teaspoon of powdered sesame seeds. Drink it after it dissolves in the water. This is effective for anemic girls who experienced spasmodic pain.
- Crushed sesame seeds can be used in a warm bath which would be great to relieve the pain associated with menstruation.
- This is ideal if taken a day before menstruation and helps curing scanty menstruation.

- You can use this for a steam bath or can also use an entire gram plant in a tub of hot water. This is effective for relieving the pain associated with menstruation.
- Banana flower is one of the best home remedies for menstrual problems. This is effective in the case of excessive menstruation or menorrhagia because it reduces the blood flow and increase progesterone in quantity. You can cook this flower along with a cup of curd.
Home Remedies for Menstrual problems using parsley and ginger
- Parsley helps in regularizing the menstrual period. It contains apiol which is a component of estrogens and hence it is recommended to women who experience menstrual problem.
- The diet should include juice like that of carrot, beet, cucumber and parsley. Drink either of the juice or combination of all such juice. This reduces the cramps associated with menstruation.
- Ginger is an effective and one of the oldest and simple home remedies for menstrual problem. This effective for stoppage of menstruation. You either take a fresh piece of raw ginger or add in cup of water and boil this for sometime and add sugar to taste. Drink this thrice a day and it is best if taken after meals.
Home Remedies for Menstrual problems using marigold and coriander seeds
- To relieve the pain associated with menstruation, herbs like marigold can be very effective. It also helps in regulating the flow of menstruation. Take a teaspoon of the extracted marigold twice a day.
- Coriander seeds controls excessive menstruation. For this you simply need six grams of the seeds and put it in a half a liter of water. Boil it until water is reduced to its half and then after this add a little amount of sugar for taste. Drink the liquid when it is warm to relieve the pain and feel better.
Home Remedies for Menstrual problems using mango bark and Indian barbery
- Obtain a 10 ml of extracted mango bark juice in a 120 ml of water. Mix this well and mix this well and take a teaspoon of the mixture after every hour or two. This is ideal for excessive menstruation.
- Another and one of the simplest home remedies for menstrual problems is to use the juice of mango bark with egg white, mucilage and small amount of poppy seeds. Mix this well before consuming.
- Indian barbery is also beneficial for excessive menstruation. The doses for this medicine are thirteen to twenty five grams a day.
- Rough chaff is also used for treating menstrual related problems. Prepare an infusion by Steeping 20 gram of rough chaff in a 300 ml of water. This is effective for excessive menstruation. And is one of the most useful home remedies for menstrual problems.
Apart from all the home remedies for menstrual problems, some simple precautions like avoiding fried foods, meat, caffeine etc is good for solving the menstrual related problems. Nevertheless you can include in the diet iron rich food which is perfect for women suffering from anemia.
