Home Remedies for Scabies
Scabies are skin infections that spread rapidly and form on the webs of the toes and fingers, underarms, knees and elbows. The parasite of the scabies enters the layers of the skin and then lays their eggs. The infection spreads after the eggs are hatched. Nonetheless, the infection can be treated when detected at an early stage by using some home remedies for scabies.
Causes for Scabies:
The main cause of the infection is a mite called sarcoptes scabiei var. homins. As said earlier after the eggs hatch, they start moving and this result in itching and allergic reaction.
Scabies is highly contagious and may easily spread through body contacts. A simple handshake with the infected person can leave you with this skin infection. The mites are only the size of pinhead which cannot be seen by the naked eyes. The infection can therefore easily spread via infected clothes and beddings.
A fact about scabies is that these species prefer only a specific type of host and will not stay away from the preferred host. Hence, if the humans contact the infection from animal scabies mite, then this may result with a temporary skin irritation and reaction.
