  • To a glass of water add few drops of mint essence and drink this every few hours. This will reduce the inflammation in the stomach and also get rid of the toxics which may be another reason for stomach cramps.
  • Another thing you can do which my grandmother always told me whenever I had stomach cramps is to have some grated ginger. For better taste you can sprinkle some salt over them. You can make a paste out of them as well and add some rock salt and ingest them every half an hour to relief you from any kind of stomach cramps.
  • In a glass of warm water you can add honey and some drops of lime juice and mix these well before you drink. This will not only ease the stomach cramps but also reduce the excessive burping.
  • A very good and simple of these remedies is to simply brew some of the cumin seeds in a glass of water and allow this to simmer for some time. You can also add some lemon juice and drink it. This will reduce the pain associated with the cramps.
  • Pomegranate seeds are also effective to reduce the stomach cramps. You simply have to take some of pomegranate seeds and add two pinches of salt and black pepper. Now chew them to get rid of the pain completely.
  • Fenugreek seeds are also effective to control and reduce stomach aches. All you need to add few of the seeds in a bowl containing curd. This is effective to reduce the cramps and should be consumed whenever you have the problem.

Preventive Measures for Stomach Cramps:

  • Chew your meals properly and eat them slowly. This helps in your digestion and prevents any kind of cramps.
  • If you are prone to stomach cramps, then you should be in the habit of eating small meals every four hours. This will help you lose weight loss as well if you have weight issues.
  • Avoid drinking caffeine and other decaffeinated drinks.
  • Include in your diet very rich fiber food like cookies and it is found out that this can be very effective to reduce stomach cramps.
  • Indulge yourself with moderate exercises such as light walks. As this increases the rate at which the food is digested and this will further improve your bowels.
  • Warm heating pad works well to reduce the cramps and pain associated with it.

In addition to the home remedies for stomach cramps, drink lots of water and increase your fluid intake to improve your indigestion and the bowel movements as well. Do not consume red meats or take excess of anti biotic as this may retard the digestive process.
