- Flies are sensitive to light. They will get attracted where the light is most. Switch off all the lights of the house and leave the one dim light on. All the flies will go to the direction of light.
- In summer season, flies hang onto the ceilings and walls at night. During this time, they can be caught very easily. What you require is dish soap, water and a glass. In the glass, prepare the soapy water with lots of foam on the top. Now go near the fly and cover it with the glass. While trying to escape, the fly will drown in the soapy water.
- Ultraviolet trap is another good option. The UV rays attract the flies, and once inside the trap they get zapped.
- If you still face problem of flies after using home remedies then go for insecticide. Using insecticide at home, especially if you have small kids can be harmful. Ask professionals to do this work.
- Take a standard pickle or mason glass jar. Fill 2/3of the glass with water, and chuck a piece of chicken in it. Poke a hole in the lid a little larger than a pencil. Nothing will happen until the meat rots. Then on hot days hundreds of flies a day will climb into the trap and be killed and or drowned.
